Its all about going green!

Outsourcing a job, especially when the job concerns making contact with potential clients and closing contracts, is not an easy decision to make. To place potential revenue in the hands of someone else, especially someone of a different culture, is not something that anyone is willing to do. It would either end up as being a huge gamble, or as an extreme measure when there are no other actions available.

This did happen to me, and I have to say first hand that I am extremely happy with the results. My decision ended up with having over four hundred contracts closed. I don’t think I myself could have done a better job, and given the same decision in the future, I know what I would need to do.

I am in the recycling business, and I deal with the big recycling firms throughout the US and Canada. I was considering expanding my business, but did not have enough time to look for other potential clients due to the amount of work that I had with my current contracts. My team was extremely busy as well, and I needed to act quickly to take care of the expansion that I believed was needed. With none of my employees ready to take on extra work, and unwilling to go through the long and arduous process of hiring a new member who would need to be trained, I looked to those who had the experience and infrastructure in place.

In short, I outsourced.

My instructions were simple. Outlining my business to them, I asked them to look for potential clients, mark them, make contact and give them my offer. There was some difficulty at first with us establishing how to look for contacts, but I specified that they use google search as well as the local on-line directories available.

Once they had the potential clients, they made the call and made first contact. Of course, there were instructions as to what the primary offer would be and so on, but the end point is they were able to close 400 contracts for me, and this is an impressive number considering that these people were off shore and were from a totally different culture. It only means one thing: these are highly intelligent and highly trained individuals who know exactly how to approach a problem and provide the proper solutions. I am extremely happy with the results, and would not hesitate to hire the again.

The new decade has brought with it a number of events that have touched and changed more than a billion lives across the planet.  Not all events are good, but the strength of the human being lies in his ability to process events and in turn adjust corresponding behaviors and attitudes in order to survive.

One major (though not drastic) change is the growth of awareness within the global population regarding the damage that our existence is doing to the world.  Over the past decades we have been developing technologies that, unknowingly, have been destroying the planet.  Though some people say that there is no cause for alarm since the effects would not be immediate, the fact remains that there will be an effect and some generation in the future will feel that effect.

In order to create change in the world, some people have taken on the challenge of putting the information out there for all the people to see, read and process.  Along with spreading the awareness, some have taken an extra step to recommend changes that we can implement in order to decrease the amount of damage we do to the environment.  Below are some of the good blogs and sites that tackle these topics:

1)      http://www.sustainabilityninja.com/ – This website posts good and bad news environment wise.  It lauds good government decision and provides people with options to take in order to make the world a better place to live in.

2)      http://www.thegreenshoppingguide.co.uk/ – Simply put, this is a business directory for green businesses. If the business supports or produces products that promote green living, then it could be listed here for free.

3)      http://www.aselfsufficientlife.com/ – A blog about using what is around and readily available in order to live a… you guessed it!  A self sufficient lifestyle!  It promotes recycling and finding uses for objects that we would normally throw away.  It also promotes frugality.

4)      http://www.paystolivegreen.com/ – Following the main idea of the above sites, this blog speaks of technological advances that are more Eco-friendly, and how we can reduce waste.

5)      http://agreenliving.net/ – Contains tips on being Eco-friendly, as well as environmental issues as well as short and long term solutions to these issues.

6)      http://cluttercut.blogspot.com/ – Convinces readers that a simple, frugal life would be best for all (personally, I have to agree with her).

7)      http://www.modernhippiemag.com/ – Another site promoting an ethical and frugal life.  No, it does not promote smoking pot despite the name of the website.

8)      http://www.greenlashesandfashion.blogspot.com/ – this should be self explanatory for any woman.  For the benefit of the men though, this blog contains advise regarding green beauty products (utilize environment friendly products and look good in the process).

9)      http://www.oureverydayearth.com/ – recycling tips are found on this site, as well as other tips for going green.

10)   http://www.permacultureprinciples.com/ – in a pinch, this site promotes being self sufficient.  Living without damaging the environment is the main theme to this scientific site.

Go through the sites.  They all have their own jewels of wisdom that could help us save on expenses.  Better yet, they help us lessen our own personal pollutant imprint on this earth.

Most people believe that huge corporations are only concerned about revenue.  Up to a certain point, that may be true considering that the bottom line of every business is the amount of revenue generated for the fiscal year.  In fact, this is how the success of a business is measured.  For publicly traded companies, this would determine if people would buy the stock or sell them, and ultimately determines their life and death.

Although revenue is the bottom line, companies and corporations take it upon themselves to be socially conscious.  This is because the community’s patronage is ultimately what keeps the company alive.  And since the community favors them, they have to give back.  This leads to several programs instituted inside and outside the company.  Soup kitchens for the starving, outreaches, charity donations and going green.

Yes.  Going green.  This is extremely important for a number of reasons.  One reason would be because the main thought going around is that the corporations are those that spend a lot of paper and energy, and are therefor the source of a huge amount of pollution.  Whether this is true or not is not the question.  The end point is, companies do spend a lot of energy, and should do what can be done to replenish whatever was taken.

Since these programs are instituted within the company, then even the vendor (also known as outsourced) portions of the company have to implement the same type of program.  The logical reasoning is simple: if we don’t stop taking care of the environment, then later on there will be no environment to work in.  Without that, the company will cease to exist.  It’s just a matter of self preservation.

Simple programs go a long way.  You can simply start small.  One change could be in the use of paper.  Streamline the processes and take away the need for signatures on paper.  This would benefit the company in two ways: savings on paper, and security of information as there would be less papers to take care of and shred (even the lack of shredding will translate in energy savings).  Since most, if not all, companies are on line, then that shouldn’t be so difficult.

Pay attention as well to how old and outdated hardware is taken care of.  Some just throw this away.  Encourage recycling, or even giving away the old hardware to charities that may make use of them.  For recycling, some small recycling plants even pay for junk that is sent to them to be recycled.  No matter how small, this would help with the purchase of new equipment.

Going green is a project for everyone, as everyone will definitely benefit from this.  No matter what country the company is in, going green should be a primary objective.  Some may just need a push in the right direction, but given the benefits, everyone will be encouraged to work on it.

Convincing a Mexican or a Hispanic of anything can be tedious, irritating, frustrating, and all the other negative adjectives you can think of if the one you are speaking to does not speak your language. So what is the best thing to do in these cases? Why, learn how to speak Spanish of course! Why not they learn English or American? Simple, you are the one who needs to convince them, not the other way around. And take it this way, when you learn a new language, it will be your asset.

How to convince your Mexican customer to recycle their waste will become very easy and fairly entertaining once you are able to talk to your customer about everything under the sun and not just recycling. Learning to speak a language should not be a deterrent to the cause of world ecology and if you speak Spanish, you might even learn a thing or two about how the Mexicans look towards recycling, you’d be surprised that they know some things that you don’t.

One thing that can deter you to speak a language fast is which program or book to follow. Going around with a dictionary is too undignified and someone looking like you will not look convincing at all. Instead, you would look ludicrous and silly, just to say the least. Spanish is a beautiful language and Mexicans love their language as much as you do yours. Things can be simplified by simply going online and look for a good Spanish program that can get you together.

How to convince your Mexican customer to recycle their waste involves eloquence of language. If it were not for the sake of trying to convince someone in Spanish, I would say that simple phrases would do the trick. However, convincing someone will need a better and more advanced program that is sure to make even the worst learner learn: Rocket Spanish. This is a fantastic program that is guaranteed to work within 6 days of extensive use.

Even if it takes forever, which I hope doesn’t happen, Rocket Spanish will surely help you develop good grammar, enough to be a tool for how to convince your Mexican customer to recycle their waste.

One of the most important things in this world is to get rid of waste. Unfortunately, not all things are biodegradable. Most of the waste that we have nowadays involves non-biodegradable substances that can take hundreds of years to convert into something worthy like charcoal or something. However, one movement has risen to address the problem of waste: recycling. And one of the things we have to convince is for businesses to recycle their waste.

It is easy enough to convince businesses to recycle their waste products; however, it can get difficult to convince someone to do something if there is a lack of communication, when there is a language barrier. Not that recycling is a taboo topic, but simply because people like to be convinced that you are true to your own convictions if you take timeout to learn the language that they speak. I am talking about the Hispanic communities, the Japanese communities, even the Vietnamese communities.

For the Spanish communities, it can get quite easy to learn some Spanish to get those big Spanish businesses for recycling services. There are a lot of books which can help you out, there are even online classrooms which you can attend to learn the Spanish courses. However, if you want to learn fast, the best approach would be to look at three of the most popular software around: Rocket Spanish, Fluenz Spanish, and Rosetta Spanish. These are the top three in the market today and they work very, very well. For less than $30, you can avail of software, download it into your system and there you can learn to your hearts’ content.

Learn some Spanish to get those big Spanish businesses for recycling services and learn it fluently. In short, you can become so eloquent in your Spanish, using one of the three software and you can even think in Spanish. Better, you can even learn the basics of the culture which drives the Hispanic peoples and having an in depth learning will make you almost one of them.

To be able to learn some Spanish to get those big Spanish businesses for recycling services you need to immerse yourself into the language and think as the Hispanics do. That way, you will show your solidarity with them, and before you know it, you will have convinced them of your convictions.
